Rules
Players already on the Sharkfight ladder can challenge any player up to 3 spots above them. Players already on the Sharkfight ladder will not be featured on this page, but simply be displaced by the challenger if they decline to defend their position.
Players on the ladder can issue an official Sharkfight challenge to ANY Warcraft 2 player who is not yet on the ladder, who then has up to 1 month to complete a series, after which, if never completed, the challengee will be featured on this page. The challengee can also end the challenge immediately by expressing a denial of intent to fight. Players who have dodged will be featured here.
Players who are *not* yet on the ladder can invite anyone to Sharkfight, but it won’t qualify as an official Sharkfight challenge until the challenger is listed on the Sharkfight ladder with at least 1 completed Sharkfight series.
“Open challenges” move to “Ongoing Sharkfights” page once the series has begun.
Expiry will normally be the same calendar day number a month away. For example, challenge at 8:35 pm on June 24 will expire at 8:35 pm on July 24. If it’s a 31st and the next month doesn’t have it, it will be moved forward the same number of days as if it did.
Note: Challengees had 2 months from January 2025 up until Sept. 1st, 2025 to defend. Based on a community vote, the time to defend was changed to 1 month. Challenges prior to Sept. 1 fall under the old rule of 2 months. Challenges after Sept. 1 fall under the new rule of 1 month to defend yourself before losing your spot (if on the ladder) or getting listed on the Dodger page (if you’re not).
If you get listed as a Dodger and later have a change of heart, you can simply play the series against your challenger to be moved off of Dodgers and onto Records. Once the 10 game series is completed, you will get out of Dodge.
