Map Pool

16 maps, pictured above. You can download the tournament map pool by clicking here.
Note: When downloaded, apostrophes in map titles are typically automatically changed to underscores. Both versions are included just as a precaution since the game will not work if map versions aren’t compatible, by so much as one character in the name. So there are two Jester’s Hats (other is Jester_s Hat) so that hopefully one will work for every player. (Not every player acquires their maps from google drive link, some are auto-downloaded on another server, which keeps the original apostrophe.)

Map Selection

When two players are ready to battle, they will be given a math question. Whoever gives the correct answer first will choose a map from the map pool of 16. Once a map has been chosen by ANY player, it is removed from the pool, reducing the pool each time. The next pair of players has 15 maps to choose from and so on. Only if all 16 maps are played will the pool be refreshed for continued play. Number of games required depends on the number of participants. The player choosing the map should also host for both players if possible.

Rules and Procedures

1. Map hacks, second screens showing information you shouldn’t have, save game hack, stream sniping, insider tipping, and all other forms of cheating are strictly forbidden.
2. When it’s your turn to play, if you are unknown AFK, you have a 5 minute timer to show up to play before you are marked as a loss so the tournament can continue. Your opponent may, at their discretion, give you an extra 10 minutes.
If you have announced your urgent departure, (ie. “I need to go drive my grandmother to the pharmacy because she’s having an asthma attack and needs to get a new inhaler and I’ll be back in 20 minutes.”) you will be given as much leeway as we can give you but expect that absences greater than 20 minutes are likely to result in the tournament having to move forward with you marked as a loss. If it was your first loss, you can still play again if you return in time for your next match as it takes two losses to be eliminated. If people waited on you for your first game and you’re still absent for your second game, and no one has heard from you, you will be immediately marked as a loss if we assume you are nowhere to be found.
3. Speed is 7. Resources are HIGH. “One peon” start. If there are observers they should be on a different team than any players so they don’t give away unscouted spots.
4. In the extremely unlikely event of a tie game, the players will rematch.
5. Lag. If there is lag, any observers should immediately leave. If there is still lag and the two players are unable to play together but are able to play with others, it will be attempted to change their places so they can play other opponents if it is feasible to do so. If one player lags badly with multiple opponents, that player will be removed and marked as a loss whenever they come up. If lag is minor or tolerable, the players should try to finish out their game.
6. Each matchup Player A vs Player B is one game (NOT best of 3) and then you move to the next opponent and map.
7. The only prize is a happy feeling inside. This tournament is for fun. 😄
