You think you’ve played bad maps. Once you’ve seen what Warcraft 2 players came up with 30 years ago in the 90s, you’ll have a whole new perspective. We had some suffering during playtesting maps for this tournament. Some near rage quits. Blood boiling. We looked for really the worst crap we could find. These maps aren’t for the weak. It takes a special fortitude to engage on battlegrounds that are far from optimal. You’re used to being spoon-fed and hand-held. Only the most brazen, fearless, versatile, dynamic players are expected to materialize for this wild, first-of-its-kind event. If you don’t have a strong stomach, don’t bother.

Thanks to all the players who’ve been helping with playtesting maps to find the absolute trashiest of the bad maps for this event! Gouda, Lost~One, usee, DesmondHume, w2mactruck, chenjesu, TGS, riky, TrustedTokens, CharlieChoplin, Seuss, and I think a few others were in some of the games that aren’t coming to mind at the moment.

Date: Friday June 13, 2025
Time: 9:30 pm EDT (log in by this time to guarantee a spot, once bracket is launched, new participants can no longer be added)
Place: RU server
Format: 2v2 Double Elimination
Map Selection from Pool: Each map will only be played maximum two times in this event, after which it is removed from the pool of available maps. If fewer participants show up than expected, that may be reduced to 1 time, but so far I’m geared for enough participants that each map will get max 2 uses in the entire event, meaning the worst maps may end up being played in the finals, so you can see how the most genius thinkers cope with the weirdly atrocious challenges of these really bad maps!
Per each pairing of opponents, an easy math question will be asked and the first player to respond earns map choice for his team. In the event of dispute over whose answer arrived first, that question will be disqualified and another one will be entered.
Prize: $100 USD to split among winning team, must be claimed by Paypal within 1 month, by July 13th, 2025.

Map Pool (a few more maps will likely be added once I have a better idea of number of players expected as the number needed will depend on the number of participants):
